Lighting P3(c)

lighting task

we had to move the three light's fill key and hair and use different camera setting and lens to create and interesting and aesthetically beautiful portrait of each other we turned are classroom into a studio by putting a white sheet around the model we then took photos of each other

Key Light

Key Light

This is the main light. It is usually the strongest and has the most influence on the look of the scene. It is placed to one side of the camera/subject so that this side is well lit and the other side has some shadow.
Key and Fill

Fill Light

This is the secondary light and is placed on the opposite side of the key light. It is used to fill the shadows created by the key. The fill will usually be softer and less bright than the key. To acheive this, you could move the light further away or use some spun. You might also want to set the fill light to more of a flood than the key.
Key, Fill and Back

Hair Light

The back light is placed behind the subject and lights it from the rear. Rather than providing direct lighting (like the key and fill), its purpose is to provide definition and subtle highlights around the subject's outlines. This helps separate the subject from the background and provide a three-dimensional look.

The layout I used for my photo shoot

I used this layout because it allowed be to create a picture with no shadows which gave my photo and angelic look and i moved the hair light behind my model so it gave the 2d photo some 3d aspects and made the model pop out from the background

this photo had no fill light this is why he has a harsh shadow on his face which gives him an evil look.we had the hair light on which is why it looks like he is popping out from the background .

we had no key light this time which is why it has a slight dark tone to it  I personally liked this set up the best out of all  the combinations we used it gave it a more natural effect .we had the hair light on which is why it looks like he is popping out from the background which added to the natural look by giving it a 3d quality

we had all three lights set up for this shot the fill and key light gives such an intense light all shadows are lost which gives her a slight angelic look .
we had the hair light on which is why it looks like he is popping out from the background
